Job Summary
This position supervises many of the daily activities for an account, department, or station of a warehouse operation. This position ensures performance goals are met, maintains inventory accuracy, adheres to quality standards, and effectively manages staff. This position supervises employees who oversee inbound flow, inventory control, and outbound flow activities. This position manages operational efficiency and ensures work completion in an operational area.

Responsibilities:Coordinates productivity indicators
- Monitors compliance of operational processes to ensure performance standards are maintained.
- Evaluates operational capacity to set goals for downtime, layout optimization, and throughput.
- Evaluates quality goals to develop process improvements and increase quality levels.
- Reviews existing operational processes to identiy inefficiencies and cost reduction opportunities.
Performs inventory control
- Conducts training on inventory cycle counting and inventory reconciliation to ensure employees use a consistent and accurate approach to inventory control.
- Performs periodic physical inventory audits to validate inventory status.
- Prepares inventory-based reports to document inventory status used for analysis.
- Monitors inventory levels to prevent inventory shrinkages and reduce financial losses.
- Researches inventory discrepancies to identify root causes and develop process improvements.
Contributes to customer satisfaction
- Manages workload by delegating, prioritizing, and researching to ensure customer deadlines and contract requirements are completed.
- Manages the suppliers performance and activities to ensure the commitment to customer’s.
- Tracks customer activity to provide information for the resolution of customer concerns and inquiries.
- Participates in customer meetings and quarterly business reviews to provide information on productivity and performance.
- Leverages knowledge of customers' business to identify new business development opportunities for UPS Supply Chain Solutions.
Delivers Performance and Systems Reporting
- Conducts daily performance tracking to monitor compliance status and provide feedback to management and floor level employees.
- Monitors validity of distribution operations reports to ensure customer satisfaction and overall efficiency.
- Generates account specific required reports to provide timely and accurate information and meet performance standards.
- Completes corrective action plans to address deficient areas identified from performance reports.
- Acts as primary contact for resolution of systems issues to monitor system performance and ensure proper system maintenance.
Supervises and develops others
- Determines employees’ training needs to produce continuous development plans.
- Provides on-going feedback and support to improve performance.
- Conducts performance evaluations in a consistent, fair, and objective manner to encourage continuous performance improvement.
- Holds others employee and supplier accountable to established performance levels to achieve individual and group goals.
- Resolves individual and group performance issues in accordance with UPS’s policies and procedures in a timely manner to motivate and foster teamwork.
Qualifications:
Health & Safety knowledge of regulations and workers compensation processes
At least 5 years in Logistics industries with 3 years warehousing management experience.
Bachelor or above degree in Logistics, Operation Management, Supply Chain management.
Supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education, experience and training an asset
Excellent organizational, problem solving, time management, verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer service orientation
Good computer skills and experience in a technology-based radio frequency environment
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Proficiency in the English language
