IT Quality Director (Banking)


 

DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

The Quality Director is responsible for establishing and implementing a robust enterprise quality assurance program. This role will oversee proactive and reactive quality controls to ensure high-quality, first-time-right processes and compliance. The Quality Director will also play a key role in developing comprehensive testing standards and practices, while analyzing business needs to create detailed test plans and cases.

Key Responsibilities:

Establish and manage the enterprise quality assurance program, including QA processes and procedures.

Implement proactive and reactive quality controls, monitoring, reporting, and auditing to ensure compliance and high-quality outcomes.

Analyze collected QA data and provide insights to drive continuous improvement across the organization.

Develop and maintain comprehensive testing standards, practices, and techniques.

Manage test environments and user access.

Gather, evaluate, and analyze business needs to create end-to-end test plans and cases.

Participate in the development and improvement of quality processes, guidelines, and standards.

Apply best practices and industry standards, such as ISO and Lean Six Sigma, to drive quality improvements.

Monitor and evaluate product/system quality according to established processes and guidelines.

Participate in the investigation and resolution of errors and incidents to improve quality control and testing activities.

Increase automation testing to improve productivity and efficiency.

Key Accountabilities:

Deploy and ensure adherence to QA processes and procedures.

Implement and monitor proactive and reactive quality controls, utilizing QA data for improvement.

Apply best quality assurance standards, practices, methods, and tools.

Control product quality in alignment with established requirements and standards.

Monitor, report, and address shortcomings or non-compliance in IT processes or activities that may impact product/service quality.

Manage software testing bugs and coordinate with relevant departments for resolution.

Monitor post go-live issues and compare with test results to mitigate risks.

Utilize and update the standard Test Case Library.

Deploy and maximize testing and management tools to increase efficiency.

REQUIREMENT

  • Qualifications: University graduate or higher majoring in information technology, computing, telecommunications, finance, or banking.
  • 8-10 years of experience managing software testing teams in financial/services/telecommunications organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of technology systems, testing standards (e.g., ISTQB), programming languages, and SQL Server database.
  • Familiarity with quality standards such as TCVN, ISO, Lean Six Sigma, etc.
  • Proficiency in English.
