Job description
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the successful delivery of projects within the financial/insurance services industry. You will work closely with clients, partners, and internal teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the desired quality standards. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing project scope, resources, timelines, and risks, while also maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to project management methodologies and best practices.
- Control project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against established milestones.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, consultants, and other stakeholders, to ensure effective project execution.
- Communicate project status, updates, and risks to stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams.
- Conduct regular project meetings, facilitate discussions, and provide guidance and support to project team members.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
- Manage client expectations, address concerns, and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor and report on project performance, including budget, timeline, and resource utilization.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior project management team members.
Your skills and experience
To be successful in this role you must have some of the following:
- Fluent in English communication
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Project Management, or related discipline).
- Strong client management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate project status, updates, and risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong leadership with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and data-driven decision-making abilities.
- Experience in managing project scope, resources, timelines, and risks.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Nice to have:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Relevant certifications in SAFe or Agile are highly desirable.
- Ability to mentor and develop junior project management team members.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of project deliverables.
- Flexibility to travel as required for client meetings and project-related activities
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably within the financial/insurance services industry.
